Daniel is a fourth generation, life long resident of Merryville, Louisiana.  His family has owned and operated a thriving local business here since 1968.  Campbell's Supply has been a backbone industry for the local economy of forestry as well as farming and general hardware.  He has continued to follow that tradition with a career in forestry equipment sales.  Daniel, his wife and 3 beautiful children are members of New Life Church.

Since taking office I committed to trying to find a way to lower the water bill for the average user.  A few weeks ago I submitted a resolution to the council that would allow the user a choice whether to have meter billing or flat rate.  The council voted to approve.
  • The Base Residential Rate under the meter is #28 (for the first 2,000 gallons) and then $7.50 for each additional 1,000 gallon.  We have been active behind the scenes getting our equipment ready and able to handle this type of billing setup. 
  • The Opt-In Forms are being mailed to each billing address connected to a water account.  They are going out as we complete them over the next few days.
  • We expect our computer software to be ready in the near future, causing me to be confident enough to begin the opt-in form process.
  • We are still shooting for a 09/20 launch of Optional Billing.  The first full billing cycle (after meter installation) will be billed based on the meter reading.
